The thought of going to the doctor is not pleasant to many. Therefore it is very exciting to get involved in something that will help lessen those visits. The art has much to do with flexibility. A students are able to build their confidence and self-esteem given that they set targets. The students put this on mind and do whatever it takes to achieve the goals and earn a promotion to the next belt. This can be summarized as the formula to successful life. When a student begins practicing the art, he or she focuses on attaining the ultimate black belt. He/ she then splits the long term goal into various short term goals (the other color belts before the black belt).

To know if you have been making progress, you will have attained different kind of belts. While working to get each belt, there will be certain tests from examiners. They will then give feedback to the students. All they will be doing is advising on how to improve on their craft. This is by telling them what works for them and what does not.

This is not a class that just teaches the skill. There is more to that. It is about respect and courtesy. The students are informed of the importance of showing respect to their instructors and also to other students. Discipline is also at the fore front of this. There should not be excessive talking as the session goes on. This kind of behavior is not tolerated.

Martial arts is a special sport that builds the students in different aspects in life. In most sports it is all about winning and if that is not achieved, then one is not recognized. In this, the main fuss is in the effort that is put. Moreover students are encouraged as long as they show improvement or heart in whatever they do allowing them to gain confidence.
